We make plaster molds to duplicate original objects or figurines created by the discriminating artist. When made correctly, the plaster mold will retain all of the detail of the original piece and will be an exact duplicate of the original. The duplicates or copies of the originals can be made of ceramic, stoneware or porcelain material by utilizing the desired slip in the plaster mold. It should be noted that the finished piece will by 10-20% smaller than the original due to shrinkage when the piece is fired in a high fire kiln.

Our seam lines in the making of the mold are as exact and as small as possible. This ensures the poured piece or green-ware, can be easily cleaned. All edges of the finished plaster mold are rounded to prevent chipping of the mold.
